Really nice parcel, especially for a family with young hunters. Landowner has had some health issues and just can't handle the colder weather of the gun season anymore. He is big on sharing the outdoors with family and friends and decided it was time to open up his land for the gun deer season in hopes of having others enjoy being in the woods as much as he does. I really liked this parcel and there was plenty of deer sign. Wooded areas are only about 20 acres but are spread out and connected by wooded hedge rows. Most of the woods are dense and thick cedars and had truly impressive trails coming out of them. Now that all of Wisconsin is rifle, any whitetails crossing the open grounds should be in range for strategically placed stand. There are numerous ground blinds and a few elevated stands that you can use, or put up your own. This is a gun deer only lease as the landowner still gets out to archery hunt and he is open to allowing hunters a spring turkey season or two, just need to discuss that with him. Landowners house and garage were full of racks from previous years which help support my claim that this is a solid hunting lease. Landowner also has another parcel listed with Base Camp - #5851, so combine them both if available and have almost 160 acres of prime whitetail hunting land. He would like to meet with the hunters so give your Wisconsin Leasing Agent a call before going to inspect the land. Rifle Gun deer hunting lease only. Landowner is open to reserving you a spring turkey season or two but you will need his permission to do so. Respectful use of ATV okay. Camping okay with permission from the landowner.
