Ottawa County Kansas Hunting Lease
This Ottawa County farm features approximately ¾ mile of First Creek. During my visit to the property, I started at the north end and as I snuck through the quickly emerging spring growth, I kicked up four deer in three different areas. I never made it past the bigger chunk of woods on the south part, where I would assume a few more deer should have been hiding. There are plenty of trees big enough for stands among the mixed hard woods. The brush is typical of what you would find along a creek, and there were several defined game trails that were quickly being swallowed up the spring green up. The creek banks are fairly steep creating some rough habitat- just perfect for the deer to call home. The balance of the property is planted to crops. Deer unit 7.
