Osage County Kansas Hunting Lease
This will be a really nice two-man deer lease. The two woodlots will give you several different stand locations overlooking some good-looking honey holes. The six-acre NE woodlot is mostly thick cedars but does have some open hardwoods on the north end. There were quite a few nice sized buck rubs, so I know there was a good one hanging around here! ****CAUTION- THERE IS AN OPEN WELL ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE NE WOODLOT*** The west five-acre woodlot has more low brush and grass with a couple good trees to set up stands in. This looks like a nice, economical multi species lease for somebody. The main attraction is going to be along the drainage on the west part of the property that empties into a creek in the NW corner. This property is on the edge of the Kansas Flint Hills, so there is some roll to the terrain, which also makes for a few nice elevated vantage points. Access will be from the south side of the property, where you will be able to park your vehicle and walk in undetected. During my inspection I kicked up a couple of gobblers. Obviously, deer frequent this area as well, and will travel freely between the neighboring properties. A feeder in the NW corner should prove to be deadly. Do not overlook the three ponds! Fishing season is upon us and I am curious as to what you might be able to pull of here. You may also find some waterfowl visiting during the winter months.
