Harding County South Dakota Hunting Lease
A rolling South Dakota parcel in legendary Harding County! You will have mule deer, antelope, whitetail, and perhaps the occasional flock of turkeys all to yourself on this great property (West River Deer unit 35A)! Upon property inspection I spotted mule deer, whitetail, and antelope. This area of South Dakota is good for all three species! It should be a fun property to try spot & stalk hunting, or pop up a blind near a water hole, or maybe even a tree stand in a carefully selected cottonwood. Cattle do graze the property and are generally removed in October. There is adjoining landlocked BLM land which could expand your area. Plus, the adjoining accessible public land pressure may move animals onto this lease. I think it is a win-win! You will likely need a UTV or 4-wheel drive to navigate the property on established trails and when appropriate to do so (i.e., not too wet, or extreme drought could be a fire danger for much off-road use). Please respect all gates, leaving them the same as you found them. If it rains the heavy clay soil is extremely slippery and sticky - probably won't get around much in a vehicle if it's extremely wet. The good news is that it generally dries out quick. Camping onsite it ok. There is power available, but no potable water.
