Cheyenne County Nebraska Hunting Lease
Almost an entire section of CRP packed with tree line breaks. The CRP grass sections between each tree break is between 100-150 yds. wide with most strips running more than a half mile, fantastic game bird habitat! As I drove the road around the section a covey of quail came blistering out of the grass, I was too slow with the camera but what a fun time it would be trying your speed with the shotgun. This property is not flat but contains slow rolling sloped hillsides and low hidden pockets throughout. This is the kind of deer hunting where deer seemingly appear out of nowhere. Strategically hunt from one of many vantage points and see what you can do with a spot and stalk. There is a water tank in the center of the property and a drainage winding its way across the southern portion of the property. The drainage is also bordered by cedar trees and brush. Game opportunities include whitetail, mule deer, antelope, and of course a lot of game birds. This is a newly purchased property by the landowner so not much game history. Landowner did say he saw a group of deer on the lease with one buck in that group and has been getting pictures of some young bucks and does at the waterhole on his cell camera.
